Drivers of Drinking Water Contamination 

Our Work:
The dimensions shaping in drinking water disparities are complex and involve a combination of natural, built, and social drivers. However, these drivers are often not considered in parallel.  Our vision is to develop a holistic, fundamental understanding of the compounding influence of natural, built, and social drivers on access to safe drinking water through citizen science sampling, bench-scale testing, and spatial modeling. 

Impact:
The ability to provide outreach and assistance is limited by our knowledge of the incidence and underlying sources of contaminants in drinking water. We can enhance prediction of at-risk populations and ensure the efficacy of mitigation strategies when generating data and knowledge of factors driving contaminants.
